Collaborative Call for Abstracts “Rethinking Urban and Regional Sustainability”, Festival for New Economic Thinking

The Working Groups on Cooperatives and Cooperation, on Sustainability, and on Urban and Regional Economics jointly invite you to submit your paper, experience report  and/or ethnography/case study.

We invite submissions as part of a workshop on Rethinking Urban and Regional Sustainability at the Festival. The final workshop will consist of two panels of presentations from young scholars, integrated into discussions and talks with senior speakers, local planners and activists. The experience reports will be presented in a poster session.

The workshop aims to combine the academic work of our young scholars with practical and applied knowledge from local and regional development projects and initiatives, with the goal to advance knowledge on both sides by bringing together young researchers, senior scholars and experts currently involved in development projects.

We encourage paper submissions related to the following topics:

  • Urban and Regional Resilience

  • Transitions Toward Sustainability

  • Alternative Perspectives on Development

  • (Case) Studies of Urban Cooperatives

Submissions ought to be original work. Please click here to submit your abstracts. Specify which working group(s) session you would like to be considered for when registering your submission.
